Band banner packages are one of the best investment in your band. They last years, and will instantly up your game with a dramatic presentation at every show.

Our pricing is based on the total square footage being printed.

The larger your backdrop is, or the greater number of banners you purchase will lower the price you’ll pay per square foot.

This is because when a larger quantity is produced, it’s done in a more streamlined way. This allows us to lower the cost per job, as it’s more efficient!

Join hundreds of bands in making sure your stage set is done right, as NorthCoast Banners provides the best bet for your dollar.

Whether you’re looking for a single simple banner such as this 8’x10′:

A stage set up for a band to play with an 8'x10' cloth banner that reads "56 Daze."

Or need multiple backdrops and scrims:

How Do You Calculate the Cost Per Square Foot Of Band Backdrop?

Figuring out the square footage you need for your band stage is fairly simple.

  1. Check the height of your stage
  2. Multiply it by the width you need to cover
  3. Take that number for the total amount of square footage needed!

For example:

Step 1: Your stage is 8 feet in height

Step 2:  You need 10 feet in width

Step 3: You would go with an 8’x10’ banner which translates into 80 square feet (8×10)

Pro tip: When doing multiple gigs or performances, pull an average stage size from the different shows you’ll be playing at so your banner fits the most possible amount of shows you’ll be running.

Why Do Band Banners Cost So Much Per Square Foot?

We get this question all the time – but in truth, you’re paying for quality. Here’s what you’re getting in a NorthCoast Banners’ band backdrop:

  • The materials used for our band banners are only of top quality. No cheap-looking or short-lived materials – that way lies ruin. With over 20 years of experience selling band backdrops and stage scrims, we’ve perfected the right combinations of materials for your shows.
  • Our vinyl mesh is the best in the industry with its perfect 70/30 blend. With 30% holes in the material that are invisible to the naked eye, air and sound can pass through the banner without creating a billowing sail effect.
  • The ink and dye applied to our cloth banners are superior, and therefore last longer without fading
  • Dye sublimation is a process we use to print cloth banners. It employs a dye that when heated to the correct temperature, will sublimate from a solid to a gas. Once temperature drops, the dye returns to its solid state, and penetrates into the surface of the fabric. This technique is extremely practical for large banners, as the colors do not fade away or crack even after continuous use. Think of printing a bed sheet – your colors saturate into the very fibers of the material.
  • Setting up the print machine for different levels of color saturation and profiles is an art, and needs to be done correctly. The personnel who man the machines are chosen with care. Added to that is the cost of shipping materials overseas to our production facility.
  • All banners include reinforced hems, and punched grommets along the sides for easy hanging.
  • Finishing our banners necessitates increased labor. A reinforced hem adds durability and thereby extends the lifetime of your banner. A hem will also ensure that your banner is more dimensionally stable, enabling it to lay flatter.

What’s The Cheapest Band Banner Material?

There are two options you can go with when looking to print a banner for your band. Both vinyl mesh, and cloth are popular, but in recent years cloth has overtaken mesh as the most popular material for touring bands. Here’s side by side comparison:

Cloth Banners Features

  • Wrinkle free
  • Folds up into a small size for easy travel
  • Foldable without getting creased
  • Colors print vibrantly and in stunning definition

Vinyl Mesh Features

  • 70/30 weave allows wind to flow through
  • Great for outdoor events and high wind areas
  • Won’t block sound and music
  • Rugged material won’t rip
  • Lasts for years and stands up to tough elements

As a general rule, vinyl mesh is the cheapest band banner material, as it’s the cheapest material to manufacture.

The process of printing is simpler – it’s printed digitally so it saves a lot of production time.

Cloth banners have a more costly production process, as it uses dye sublimation. It’s a less efficient process, and takes more time and effort to produce.
