What’s The Best Size Band Backdrop For You?

Even small venues have stages that are at least 10′ wide, so you can always go for an 8′ high x 10′ wide band backdrop (a popular size).

BIGGER is always better – a huge stage backdrop is like steroids for bands that want to grow! (But this kind is legal.) Your social media followers will love it.

What Type Of Material Is Best For Your Band Scrims Or Backdrop?

It will depend on how you are using it.

  • Indoor Shows: cloth stage backdrops is ideal due to it being lightweight and the colors showing up more vibrantly and brightly. If you’re on tour, cloth backdrops is your best option because it folds up small and travels so lightly.
  • Outdoor Shows: stick with mesh band banners so that the wind doesn’t cause your banner to topple over. You can read more about the differences between mesh banners and cloth banners.

We are fortunate to have a music industry program at North Springs High School in Atlanta. We ordered banners to use as stage backdrops for our concerts - a 10’x8’ center and two 6’x6’ side banners. We opted for the mesh since we will occasionally have outdoor performances. We are very happy we chose NorthCoast Banners. The banners look amazing, the quality is outstanding, and we couldn’t believe how fast they shipped. We also ordered stands, and those are great as well. Additionally, the customer service is unbeatable. We screwed up our payment, and they worked with us to get it corrected. They also made a last minute shipping adjustment for us. Chevi was great. Once I reached out I had a lot of questions in regard to quality, proofing and size and once we nailed all that down we received the product very quickly. We even had an issue with one of the poles holding up the stand and she replaced that for us very quickly as well. Retractable posters looked fabulous on stage.
